ElM, the oil drillers are not planning on supporting the NZ economy, they are planning on making a lot of money<and when we go there and try to find oil to support the NZ economy, a flotilla of losers chases us off? > But why do you think I back the people opposing the mining industry?

I'm in favour of lots of mining. I like mines. The open cast gold and silver mine in Waihi is interesting. The Bingham copper mine really impressed me 35 years ago. The Butte one was great too.

In fact, I have had a secret plan for 30 years for an oil well in a Northland location which would be cheap to drill. My theory on oil formation led me to that site. I need some seismic work and it's one of many business opportunities I'd like to follow one of these days. There are opportunities everywhere.
