Ideally, the first week after expiry of the previous month's series is the time. When the market cooperates and you get a little run, it is even better. If you are just beginning this stategy, 5-6 weeks out gives you reasonable time premium. Next week would be right, if the stock runs up somewhat. I don't see this though and yes it would be in my best interest if the stock closed at 29. I plan on writing Dec 35's after the 21st for over $1. I would be willing to sell my shares in December for $35. Since I have held this stock since March of '95, I have a lot of shares and have been able to generate a steady stream of income which I use to add to my Iomega position. It has worked for me.
