Barbara: I kept my Nov puts too. I even covered the short leg of my Dec spread, so now I have crawled deeply into the bear cave. Monday will be a gut wrencher, and I will be anxiously waiting until Sunday night to see what happens overseas. Barron's is always bearish on the first page (Alan Abelson) who is old enough to think like us and recognize a mania for what it is. But woe to us thinking people so far! They also had Martin Barnes' bearish article last week. I think they'll play it straight, unlike the big brokerage houses' folks on TV -- which reminds me, a certain Mary Farrell (from one of the big houses) got on TV the week of grey Monday and stated twice (with a straght face) that the market was slightly undervalued at those levels. Is there such a thing as talking-head malpractice? Have a good weekend and I also wish us all good luck. Jack
