ElM, since you haven't noticed, the Anglo Saxon banking system has not collapsed. I have got some shorts of J P Morgan and Wells Fargo but they are right where I shorted them a year ago so it's not going that well.

Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Spain have got a bit of a problem. The USA is not really Anglo Saxon either, and they have got a big problem too. But banks are doing just fine, paying big bonuses and taking over a few such as Lehman and others.

That would be nice: <new indifference in emerging countries who no longer feel they have much to learn from the West.> Hopefully it will mean they'll stop trying to crowd into "the West".
