The Gov't, as well as other institutions, have gotten outa control. Just visiting with a teacher friend and she was complaining about the union and how hard they make it just to do a fundraiser or talk to the principal. Seems everyone has their little empire or territory to protect and nothing gets done. I'm just feeling like both sides in politics now tries to demonize the other point of view, and lots of news reports contain spin and half truths (on both sides). I think it's just pitting people against people. The people that are in the various forms of politics and media treat it like a game (at which they very carefully keep score). And the same issues get batted about over and over with no progress towards a real solutions. Meanwhile Rome is burning. We're living in a complex world and the "we're right and everybody else is wrong" certainty of all these positions is really dividing us as a country and as a people. And I'm tired of the hypocrisy (banking, churches, politics, schools, insurance companies). Seems like our politicians on both sides have failed us. And our churches too. And our corporations. And our Institutions. It is BROKEN! Everything and everyone seems to act out of self-interest now. Altruism is going, going, .......... almost gone.
