Just being a smart ass in return. One of the ways recreational drug use (otherwise known as fun in the vast majority of cases) is demonized is by the perpetuation of stereotypes, casually thrown off as accepted wisdom. In case anybody hasn't noticed, it's one of my pet peeves.

I actually went looking for a song I had heard, done by some guy with a heavy Cockney accent (uneducated lower class). Don't know the guys name, nor the lyric. The one lyric I am sure of is "Just because you're going forward, doesn't mean I'm going backward". The other line I half remember is "Just because you're better than me, doesn't mean (something to the effect of 'that I'm worthless'). With so little to go on I could not find the song, so settled for throwing up another stereotype as an example of a similar (although no longer PC) commonly accepted way to put people in their place. No big deal.

I've heard Carl Sagan was a big pot smoker. It's possible he spent a lot of his life sitting in his car imagining he was going somewhere. Who knows, maybe his best ideas about the wonder and awe of the universe occurred to him in just such a setting. Not that I'm a big Carl Sagan fan, one way or the other.

Saw this yesterday when I was in the gym. They gave him a lot of time, surprised me.
