I keep up with several hundred people, and if any of them own any gold, other than jewelry, I don't know about it.

Hi Cactus...a reminder that people who own SLV do NOT own silver in spite of what they charge you for storage. Some might argue this but will get nowhere as I know what I'm talking about. BTW the only investment advice IMO these days worth listening to is here:

HUGE! Smart money is dumping SLV (paper silver) and buying REAL SILVER (crash jp morgan buy silver)

Perhaps a bit off topic, but this got me curious. I can vouch that talking about buying precious metals usually goes over as well as a dog fart.

How many people look to buy precious metals? I asked google trends a few times to see the trend:

Nearly any term will bury Silver and Gold searches. Inflation is an example relatively unpopular search term that still makes it possible to see the movement of gold and silver search term. It looks like silver is catching up to gold in popularity ever since gold went through the roof relative the worlds reserve fiat currency and left silver behind.

Clockwise from top left, GLD, SLV, GLD/SLV, GLD/FSMTX. The recent run of silver has brought the Gold to Silver Ratio to the lowest since 2004, will silver break below 32x Gold? If so is the next stop dialing up the way back machine to 1979?

p.s. 10th post comes with an upgrade to post more per day? I feel like my posting power just got devalued :o)
