States can an do form compacts with other states. There is no practical problem that you can come with that can't be handled between the states. The Federal government consistently makes every problem worse. But all this is moot because there's no money to support any of this anymore.

I'm a proponent of states rights, too,

I'm a proponent of limited CONSTITUTIONAL government.

You may not be aware of this because it is grossly under reported but slowly but surely the Federal government is building up a system of criminal laws parallel to the States.

Everyone concerned about liberty should be terrified by this development.

The Clinton law made non-payment of child support over the amount of $5000 a felony.
