"People Are Not Rational"

If they were there wouldn't be a Democratic party.

I supported nuclear power before Fukushima. Now it seems to me every nuclear power plant should be shut down and decommissioned ASAP.

Fukushima is a disaster that is going to keep giving for a thousand years or more, just like Chernobyl. No matter how much concrete they bury it in, it's going to be seeking air to burn brightly. You think humans are going to be around in a thousand years to rebury it? Nuclear accidents have a big chance of being around a lot longer than us.

The one thing I've gotten from reading about it is the experts can't even describe what is happening within those ruined walls. They don't have the words, they don't have the concepts, they just don't know.

The other thing I've learned about the govt. and bureaucratic organizations is their inability to react to any disaster. We had Katrina, the Japs have Fukushima, and the Asians were supposed to be so much smarter and more organized than the Occidental.

Also, the government and the media have done nothing but lie about Fukushima. The narrative has been non-stop reassuring as the meltdown continues, poisoning the air and the sea and killing anybody who works in or near that plant. Anybody seen any info about the # of workers who now glow in the dark? Those heroic 50? And the next 50 and the next 50 after that? No, the MSM buries news at the behest of their corporate masters. You think Jeff Imelt cares about me or you?

This article is an apology for GE and the Greens. Time for natural gas. Man (humankind?) can't be given the power of the gods. There is no doubt in my mind we will destroy ourselves and the earth. All we do is prove it again and again.
