To be honest : I took 25% of my savings to put into the stock market.
I still have several mutual funds,cd's, cash and a 401k .
I think Dell is a great investment and if I would have sold at 70...I would have made a bundle..
Dell will go to 85 next week and 90 after earnings....Then the sky is the limit for this high flying stock.
Wouln't it be nice if they score around 3 Billion this qtr.
This stock can jump or fall $6 in a few minutes......it can just keep on going.
Once it came from below 80 and rose to 180 in a couple of months.
That was to about earnings in April-May 1997.
I heard that Bill Clinton-Al Gore-Allen G split a block trade today.

You said you would short at <80>..bac bac bac ba gak...chicken

Paul, you are wrong again when you say "People should not 'invest their retirement' into a high risk stock". There is nothing wring with having a portfolio of high risk stocks (stocks with beta >1.5) provided you are diversified. My retirement portfolio has a beta of about 1.80, and has done quite well for the year (up about 53% annualized even after the past few weeks). I sincerely hope you get a chance to short DELL in the very near future.

Paul
