TechHunter, I have been monitoring the Cymer board at AOL's Fool after inviting them to participate in this. I have been using the Fool for its various tools for a couple years now aside from my ISP, and I should have known what to expect. Unfortunately, most of the AOL investors reacted as I suspected they would...they immediately began to bitch and whine against such a meeting, suggesting that we are simply distracting management from their jobs, etc. The ignorance of Motley Fool investors is recognized far and wide at Silicon Investor, where the more sophisticated investors congregate, but I thought it fair to include Cymer investors everywhere. It is a shame that due to the reason the Fool was founded, most investors who make use of it are those beginning investors who are just being weaned off of their mutual funds and full-service brokerages. So being, they are usually quite ignorant by nature. One amusing development was the apparent paranoia that has sprung up at AOL due to taking Curly's post re: shorts using your share position info to their advantage. Now some have suggested that this effort to stage an online investor meeting with a company officer could be a conspiracy by the short interest attempting to learn the positions of the longs! LMAO! See what I mean? However, there ARE many investors at the Fool (minority) who are very experienced and savvy. Some are also members of SI (Mason and ScotMCI). I was hoping to communicate with these individuals, and indeed I have received emails from those in support of this meeting. I will forward you the details via email. All in all, I suppose it matters little since we have already accumulated the 1% in shares that were needed. Style Pts.
