Regarding your last comment to me, church was full of families like that growing up in the fifties and sixties, so it's recent historical fact.

if it is recent historical fact, perhaps you could provide a link that documents that the rate of families with philandering/cocktail lounge frequenting husbands with saintly wives taking care of 10 kids at home while doing menial work on the side to help pay the bills, is/was different for catholic church going families vs families of with other religious beliefs or of those families that did not practice any religions.

In other words, if you are going to present something as "fact" which demonizes a religion, back it up with some supporting evidence rather than anecdotal stereotypes. (BTW: weren't you the one suggesting that we stop demonizing? or does that only apply to abortion specifically?)

I don't doubt that those situations existed, but I do doubt that they were or are the norm or that the situation was ever endorsed by any christian church.

And.......
If people want to decrease abortion, than the arguments against abortion and for life, must be won on high moral ground, reaching the hearts of both men and women, since it takes two. The hypocrisy and demonizing must stop.

How about skipping the whole high moral ground thing and going straight to the personal responsibility thing.

And by hypocrisy, I assume you are talking about the hypocrisy of the pro-choice group, right?
