Just asking you.

I believe a child begins at conception. Some prochoice people don't have any issues discussing their views and can support them, such as it's not a child until the umbilical cord is cut. I respect that, thought I disagree with it.

Some old men in 1973 decided it's not a child until 24 weeks. There are children running around today that were removed from their mothers before 24 weeks.

It's time to revisit this 1974 court ruling.

So in your belief, when does it become a child and what occurred at that moment in time?

So what's your belief, when is it a child and when is it something to throw in the trash and please point out what determines this?

"There is a substantial and growing body of medical and scientific evidence that unborn babies at 20 weeks can feel intense pain when they are aborted," Hanusa said during debate Thursday. "At 20 weeks, unborn children have pain receptors throughout their body and nerves link these to the brain."

The above is from a news article about abortion law changes in a couple of states. I won't post the link as the law changes in this state or that isn't what I'm concerned about here.

My question for pro-choice people is does this matter to you? Shouldn't the pro-choice movement be in the forefront of trying to make abortion more "humane"?

How do we treat murderers given the death penalty? Not by jamming a sharp tube in their heads and sucking their brains out. Or cutting their bodies to pieces.

How do we euthanize pets? We make efforts to be humane there. Why not with fetuses? Because recognition that fetuses can feel pain would weaken the pro-choice movement?
