Here we go again,
Another distraction cycle started. Does it bode for a decline in market?

No body is hundred percent correct. I have not seen anybody in this thread not acknowledging that. If you are 100% correct why create this trivial thread to begin with.
You can create a better world by making more profits and helping them directly rather than subjecting everybody to this potential market torture.

All of you have nice weekend. May be Clinton will decide during weekend to move market's direction next week. There is too much
stockpiling of old weapons and Saddam always wants to help America to
mitigate its inventory problem.

Wow Tom - give it a rest, man. The markets go up, and the markets go down. Ike is a long-term long, and a short-term short. In the main, he steers folks towards bellwethers, which is kinda conservative. We were all caught by the events which pushed the entire market down. Ike is a soothing influence in a stressful place, and seems like a nice man, who cares about people.

I think folks have unreasonable expectations of Ike. Like, "Tell me what to buy and when to buy it and when to sell it". Doesn't work that way. Ike is an interpreter of events/news/markets. He writes well, surprisingly so in that English is not his mother tongue. Yeah, he has an ego, most humans do. Has dignity, too.

Your postings are wasting our bandwidth.

Hello Tom Trader

Your analyses of IQB's posts --- followed over a considerable period of time --- ring incisively true.

It seems to me that IQB is a man of basically good heart and motivation, with a considerable and sophisticated grasp of the global marketplace.

But it appears that he has scant subjective insight into the personality traits reflected in the frequent inconsistencies of his market posts.

Most human beings are warmed by praise. Most of us find disagreement with our cherished convictions to be highly distasteful.
Thus our reactions --- when an objective observer diagnoses accurately the flaws in one's facade --- are, as you noted, more predictable by far than tomorrow's market opening.

Was it Bobbie Burns who opined words to the effect that
If only God would the gift to ga'e us
To see ourselves as others see us! ??

And, yet----suppose that IQBAL posted ONLY the original generative message, and then subsequently was never heard from again.

Would the Idea of the Day thread be as pregnant, interesting and populous as we now find it?

As Louis Condax, a researching scientist working the in the Kodak Laboratories once said:

"Let us agree to disagree without being disagreeable."

Cordially

William
