If people watched CNBC of a few minutes ago, they'd have heard Donald Trump speak over the phone. My conclusions of his plain talk is very bullish for gold, silver and other precious metals.
First of all, he absolutely does not believe that Mr. Obama was born in the USA, and therefore there is a major crisis on this issue in the days ahead, even in 2011. He's going to be very tough on OPEC and China, as he wants lower oil prices and accused China of currency manipulation. He also wants the US not to leave Iraq, as he believes that as the winner of the war, the US should get to own all that oil.

All this simply leads me to believe that it is going to mean a substantial devaluation of the US$, and enough volatility, uncertainty and fear in the system, worldwide, enough to make precious metals go substantially higher, given all the tension in the system already.

Excellent ElM, you are grasping some of the idea of VVV, albeit in a negative sense = mistrust about others rather than what you do. Governments do break the first rule of Virtue, which is to leave other people alone. Wanting to own human serfs or slaves or boss people around is not virtuous. People who get into governments love doing that. They want big heaps of opm for their own benefit. <government and big organizations use their power against the little guy. > A shoot them in the back criminal would also dislike government for the same reason, but that would not make him virtuous.
