Course Obama has the power to dispel the ick in 2 minutes but he doesn't. With the remedy so trivial it's not fair to call it a hounding. The energy he's expended to keep private something that you and I consider public knowledge about ourselves is what peaks my interest.

kate, do you understand the idea of occam's razor? "The simplest explanation is usually the best." taking the occam razor approach, stated simply... obama has something to hide... as has been stated numerous times on this thread, he can just release the document and put an end to any and all speculation or other 'ickyness' as you seem to think is involved... he doesn't, because the truth that is reflected on his birth certificate would be damaging to him politically... does it mean he isn't a citizen? nope.... it could be something as politically incorrect as his race being indicated as caucasian, or some other issue about his paternity...who know? but the main point here is you don't spend millions on keeping a secret unless you have something to hide.... does that help? the only person bringing discredit upon him is himself in this instance... asking to see a birth certificate is not an unreasonable request... i had to bring mine into the DMV to get my driver's license renewed post 9/11....sucks, but i do it because i want to drive just produce the damn document and put the critics to rest obviously he won't because he CAN'T

I think that the birther thing is probably a crock..in a way. But one of Obama's making. Here are my beliefs on the topic: 1. Obama was vetted and determined to have legitimate citizenship to be president of the US 2. Obama has something to hide 3. Trump already has proof as to what Obama is hiding ("never ask a question for which you don't already know the answer") I believe that whatever he is hiding will not only be a political embarrassment to Obama, but will expose him as a fraud. If his BC shows that his father is not BO sr and he knew it, then it makes his autobiography a piece of fiction that was obviously written to create the myth of Obama. In other words, it would prove that he is a fraud. If he received scholarships based on the presumption that he was a foreign student when he was truly an american citizen, again, proves he is a fraud.
