Regular gas is still $4.59 gallon here at the local Costco. Higher at most stations.

Big Benicia Valero refinery is closing here in 9 months -- retail prices projected to soar as high as $8.00/gallon. With this impact on the no-cushion working class, it will cause a big blow for elections of progressive (green) politicians in the region.

The necessary climate change transition from fossil fuels must be managed - there has to be a way to balance it with the costs of transportation. We have to save the planet AND not tax the wealth of the working and middle class currently in their F-150's and Toyota Tundra's - its gonna be a complicated transition.
