Hi All,

Thanks for on topic posts about Florida real estate. If one has to start looking for a single family home in excellent neighborhood at good discount from the peak price, are there any useful unbiased URLs? google search gives a lot of real estate agent home pages, not sure how unbiased that info is. Which neighborhoods one should look at? If planned move to Florida is say after 15-20 years, is there a possibility to rent the house out ? Looking for neighborhoods with:

Less crime
Proximity to good medical facilities
Recreational activities
Good schools

This looks like a good site:

topretirements.com

Any others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i took that drive. my bother is in a beautiful house in a golf community just north of bonita springs and south of fort myers. i saw the west bay club (west of my brother's place) - but it is east of gulf - and has a parking lot on gulf you can travel to in say 15 minutes. i saw nice condos on beach in naples and sarasota and sand key - south of clearwater. i didn't see venice. i had an ice cream in punta gorda.
