About 6 weeks ago I chose the following team name for our weekly Monday night bar trivia competition

"The Egyptians Are Revolting"

Most of the crowd thought it was disrepectful and in poor taste. I thought we should have won the best team name for the night, but no.

I think everyplace conquered by Islam moved backward .... North Africa, Turkey, Syria were as Christian as Europe and wouldn't be culturally much different than Mediterranean Europe now if not for Islam. Iran, Iraq, central Asia was ruled by Zoroastrians but with millions of Buddhists, Jacobite and Nestorian Christians. These were civilized territories that were the heirs of ancient civilizations - Greek, Persian, Roman.
