Premier Dad ?

Part of my fear with Harper was (and still is) some of his cabinet appointments.. When I first heard Clement and Flaherty were going to be in it... I mentioned my fears on this thread years ago.. Those two were in the Harris gang that couldn't shoot straight.. and Canada owes it fiscal good standing not to Flaherty and Harper but the legacy of Martin.. from the balanced budget to the bank legislation.. all Martin... Flaherty's first decisive act was the income trust fiasco.. which was just knee jerk stupidity as well as 'Liberal' style campaign promise reneging :O) Oh and yeah I won't be voting Liberal when McGuinty's time is up.. I cannot believe it but he's turned out to be measurably worse than the Harris gang... problem becomes though... last time I was peed off provincially this much I voted for Rae... and he got in !!!!!

BTW I cracked up today ... guy on BNN complaining about California debt.. (not deficit) of 50 billion.. MY GAWD!!! Ontario is already over 200 billion and guesstimated to be 300 billion plus by the time the budget is finally balanced.. So what will happen then ... sigh...

BTW that California debt seemed off to me... according to government it's about twice that.. but there are sites including pension shortfalls etc... that peg it as high as 7 times that 50 billion... still Ontario has some not included unfunded liabilities also...
