Speaking of short interest, Oct 97 showed roughly 307,000 shares short, an increase of about 100,000 over same period ending Sept 97. Old news, but for those who missed it, data can be acquired at the following - type in imrs:

EARLY DAY TRADING
IMRS opened up 1$ and climbed within 20 minutes to up 1 3/4 before dropping back to up 1/2. It is now up 1 1/2 @ 10:30. The volume is at 150,000 shares in the first hour. The continued chart strength will be attracting momentum players.
