According to liberal Democrats, the worst things that have happened in recent decades was the Iraq war begun by Bush and the Bush tax cuts. They're responsible for all our economic problems and are the reason for high unemployment, trillion dollar plus budget deficits, and nothing can be done to improve things till these twin evils are ended.

And yet Democrats controlled Congress for the past four years and the White House for the past two years. And what did they do during their period of governing? They followed the Bush program on these issues:

Reducing but not eliminating America troop strength in Iraq according to the arrangements Bush had negotiated with the Iraqi government,

Increasing American troops in Afghanistan,

Maintaining Guantanamo, the military commission trial process for foreign terrorists, and most of the Bush era security policies, and finally,

Extending the Bush tax cuts another two years.

In other words, the great evils Bush allegedly foisted on the country are now fully owned by the Democratic party. The Bush tax cuts are now the Obama tax cuts. The Iraq and Afghan wars are Obama's wars (as is the new mess in Libya).

None of the things liberal Democrats hate, hate, hate .... have been repudiated by their party when they had the chance to ... no, they embraced them.
