they are told what to say and to stay on talking points, that guys like schummar tells them. They don't give a rats ass about the country, only about staying in power. They think they will be fine when the shit hits the fan

He was very nice to her but I could tell he was getting frustrated with her clueless view of what this country needs. She kept using words like 'common sense', 'investment', 'save our future' -- the whole ball of wax.

We live in a soundbite world. These jackwagons seem to seize on words like "investment" and repeat them ad nauseum.
