Croc, are you saying that if we have settled the question wheather God is in the tree we must now move on the question, is God in the tree branch? Then what; does God extend as far as the leaf stem? Or to really take it all the way, does God reach even unto the tip of the leaf itself? These weighty theological matters are way over my head especially if our figurative tree is a Redwood. As for a lowly tree branch participating in stirring up a hornet's nest there is unprecedented precedent for this about 2000 years ago.

Croc. Once upon a time in my wildest dreams, right before the
end of that part of my life, I was very high on orange sunshine and
walking in the Mendocino forest, I thought by myself, and singing
something which I would later realize was quite, quite medevil.

And the point of the story is that all was as like it is at this moment, crystal clear, not a waver of unreality, just the real world but more beautiful than I could comprehend, and I looked at the Redwoods and across a meadow I clearly saw them for the first time almost, that they had faces in the leaves and shadows of the top branches, and their arms were waving up and down in a happy manner, and it looked for all the world that they, the trees, were trying very hard to get my attention, even though they looked exactly like trees look at this moment, I was not have any sort of hullucination whatsoever, and they were indeed smiling. I yelled to them, just to be sure they knew I saw them.

To this day I believe that I was allowed to see something that will be. Who knows. Maybe it was all just orange sunshine, but I kinda doubt it.
