Skipper, I did not say that you specifically used the Bible as evidence of a creator, only that it is usually used as evidence. I think that it is a book of mythology and a rough record of some historical events. I certainly don't believe in people living in whales and global floods, etc. Even if you don't believe in the Biblical account, Creation implies a Creator, who would have to posses tremendous powers, including being self-existing . If you accept the Creator argument , then you have to accept he also created us with genetic defects and disease, and permits catastrophes to happen to innocents. I don't blame you for calling yourself a rationist. If you call yourself one of the "A" words, Freddy will hold you guilty of the misdeeds of others. << Anyway, if you don't want to believe in God, that's your business. But I do not accept your evidence, which is totally lacking so far, that I was not created. As I tried to say before, it's a personal matter, and I don't believe there is any objective proof one way or the other. >> How many times does it have to be said that a negative can't be proven? What needs to be done is to look at the evidence for a Creator, and the evidence of self-existence. The preponderence of the evidence is for randomn self-existence. I will drop to my knees and ask forgiveness for my apostasy if I see conclusive evidence of a Creator. The image of Jesus in the stars on Christmas Eve, or the equivilant will do. I don't expect to drop to my knees. Would you expect it to be proven that everyone alive at the time didn't kill Nichole to prove O.J. did? Del
