It used to be easier to care for the sick and aged because you could hire a full time maid for the equivalent of room, board and about $100 a month.

I hate Social Security because it destroyed family responsibility and caused people to dump their family on the government instead of taking responsibility. Now the system is going broke and we have no one to blame but ourselves for expecting the government to do what sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters should have done in the first place. Instead people became lazy and full of excuses for not doing what they knew was right. * * *
