imo, if prc govt plans 7-8%, then 12-15% coastal and 8-10% rural / inland, resulting in amalgamated 10-12%

on those 'european' sounding names, i figure they are 'brands' dreamt up somewhere between hong kong and shanghai and taipei

I just bought some Levi jeans on sale 1/2 @ sears ... 35$.. Was hard to find any not designed for overweight folks but that is another tale.. I saw another brand Nevada... never heard of them... fit good.. 2 pair for 40$... so I got 2 pair Levis and two pair Nevada.. I notice no anti theft device on the Nevadas.. So sales guy says yeah no one steals these.. made in Ch1na.. of course so are the Levis ;o)... will see how they wear.. if they hold up.. I switch :O)

I thought the only useful piece of information byte I gained from Chanos appearance today was from Mohammed El-Erian who basically said that China's economic success is not up for question anymore, but rather, can the rest of the world afford to support China's assured success. I thought to myself, he means destruction of millions of jobs elsewhere, continued distortions of capital fund flows around the world, distortions in exchange rates, social unrest, sovereign defaults, etc etc.

At this point, the only clear takeaway I had, alas, boring as it may be, is how bullish it all is for precious metals.
