Michael, if we do this in a non-IRA account, maybe we should get LEAPs that have 2 years to go (like the 2000 now) to take advantage of discounted Tax Rate of 20% for gains from investments with at least 18 months holding period...There will always be writers of LEAP Calls or Puts because its a sure way for them to make money also considering the volatility of the stock...

Looks like you've discovered the Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

Take a look at the COMS LEAP for Jan '99,strike $50. In July people were paying $14 for it. Today you can buy it for $.50. Do you think it will recover by January so you can roll it to the '99 for $10?
If I was you I would check how many LEAPS expire worthless before I got too excited.

not true volume will add liquidity and in fact diminish premiums... an mm will allways by the underlying stock...
