Brumar, I predict that in 2012, the GOP will gain the Senate and strengthen its majority in the House.

However, I also predict that Obama will win a very bitterly-fought campaign for a second term. The best person to take him on looks to be Mitt Romney, but I don't he can overcome Obama's personna as a "transcendent figure in politics." Plus you know the left-wing media is going to sling mud at Romney like there's no tomorrow, and some of it may stick.

Don't forget that Obama can triangulate and look like a moderate better than any other Democrat. Left-wing activists will still vote for him out of fear that any GOP candidate would "kill our seniors and eat our children."
