WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Gentner Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: GTNR) played a large part in the construction of a new multi-media conference center in Washington, D.C., announced the American Electronics Association (AEA).

The David Packard Conference Center (DPCC) is a first-class meeting space designed to fill a gap in quality conference room facilities in downtown Washington, D.C. Designed for maximum flexibility, it offers a wide range of conference facilities such as state-of-the-art video and teleconferencing, electronic whiteboards, and high-speed plug and play access to the Internet.

The creation of the AEA DPCC was in large part sponsored by many AEA members and contributors, among them Gentner Communications. "Without the support of Gentner Communications, we would not have been able to furnish the DPCC with the latest conference technology, nor to offer this great new member service," said William T. Archey, AEA President and CEO, Gentner supplied the center with all of its audioconferencing equipment.

AEA Member companies will have priority access to the center for their company meetings held in Washington, D.C. The conference center will also be used to host legislators at important AEA-sponsored events and will serve as the premier meeting place for the high-tech industry in general.

Gentner Communications Corporation develops and manufactures audio solutions for the broadcast, teleconferencing, and assistive listening markets. Gentner's mission is to help build synergistic relationships between people who are geographically separated by providing customers with total audio solutions. The company has a wide product and service mix featuring telephone interface products, audioconferencing products, assistive listening systems, and a nationwide conference calling service, 1-800-LETS-MEET(TM).
