Tito, Don't know if this thread can claim credit, but it seems AMAT LEAPs are getting more popular. There were 150 LPJAD (Jan 2000 Call 20) traded today, and according to my Discover Brokerage quote, the last trade of the day was for 110 contracts @ 19. I dumped some of mine for a quick profit but still have a bunch left for next week's run up.

When a LEAP has less than a year left, it's just another (high-risk) option. My plan is to look for an opportunity to roll over as soon as a newer series of LEAPs (longer expiration) is about to be introduced (around June.)
