There is no way that these companies will not feel the effect from the Asian crisis. Your statement that asians have been suffering for a while is very untrue. Just look at GDP and investment numbers for the previous five years for any country with the exception of Japan. Japan has been suffering for a while and things will only get worse. Not only will sales decrease in Asia but prices will also get cut substantially as Asia was the largest growth area for many companies. If you look at banks such as CitiCorp they will also have some serious problems due to the Asian problems. Also, this problem is no longer just an Asian problem look at Brazil and some of the eastern European countries.
