Yawn. So a liberal economist at liberal Brookings thinks hiking taxes in the middle of a recession is just a dandy way to stimulate the economy. And by all means lets have a fight about it every year; the uncertainty will really help job creation.

Did you notice that he had to admit as one of the 'myths' that the Bush tax cuts did not cause the $1.6 Trillion deficit, it was Obama's spending?

An excellent interview with Nick Shaxson, who wrote "Treasure Islands" about mega U.S. corporations using offshore scameroos to eliminate their taxes. What I found most interesting is that he figures the group most hurt are small American businesses. They have to compete with the behemoths, yet they also pay taxes, which the behemoths do not. The small businesses simply do not have the capital to be welcomed by the bankers in Luxemburg or every Dutch island in the world. msnbc.msn.com
