I think it is too early to buy dry bulk shippers. What in your opinion would be the catalyst for the downtrend to be reversed. Buy 2008 many companies have ordered ships. Many will be delivered this year adding to the inventory. This is depressing prices. On the other hand there is no doubt that China has to put some brakes on the economy. They will import less cargo and this will further depress the prices for shipping. Why would you invest now?

OT anybody see the article in barrons today about hermitage fund/ the dead lawyer/ and the tax collector? Its definitely movie material with some very funny lines about a very serious subject.
One of the most intriguing stories I have ever read and really should give investors pause about putting their money in foreign countries especially russia. Seems pretty clear from the article that people at the highest levels of government in russia had to have been involved, or they wouldnt be sweeping this under the rug and the tax collector who declared $500,000 in income over the past 10 years would not be keeping her $20 million residence outside moscow, her $4 million dubai condo and her $1 milllion summer house in Montenegro.
