Afraid I don't know anything useful beyond the mention. Yes, anti cancer treatments do seem to work as you suggest, by trying to kill cancer faster than other cells. At a hugh distance and operating solely by guess, I would guess thant an antibody approach is much more likely to be targeted w/relatively little collateral damage. I would imagine that the human genome project which US fed govt is funding could be hugely helpful in fundamental knowledge here. Which I guess is what is needed. Short of that, have sort of groping empiricism, as you suggest. Regards, Doug
