How does one justify spending half the budget on imperialistic wars?

Broken Clock, this is not one of your twice-a-day moments. The Defense budget is about $650 billion (and most of that gets spent in peace or war). The Federal Budge is $3.8 Trillion. That is 1/6, not half.
