Robert, that's what I'm wondering. Maybe a lot of people didn't want to hold an issue that's been weak into the weekend w/ the potential for the Iraqi crisis to escalate and maybe hit the markets next week and/or w/ the Asian markets still dicey? Maybe some longs who were hoping for a rebound threw in the towel? Maybe some of the hardcore-TA crowd figured that the weekly bar was going to be ugly, so bail if long/enter short? Maybe you've got a lot of MM's sitting on some VERY healthly gains for the year on TI, and taking profits on part of their positions? Or conversely, some MM's who bought around the time of the Montgomery conf., when it was in the 130-140 range, seeing it down, looking for capital gains offsets, and kicking it out?

I don't know. My read is pretty foggy on this one, and when that's the case I usually am very hesitant to enter.

I was eyeing up next week as probably having an upside bias for techs if we start getting a lot of great new product news out of COMDEX, but I haven't looked at anything yet in terms of who's showing what.

Their site is:

comdex.com

I'd like to try and see what TI will be showcasing, but who knows if a good show at COMDEX is going to be enough to turn whatever it is that's causing the weakness.

Good trading,

Tom
