"I believe he knew from the getgo that the Rs are not ones with whom you can negotiate." I don't believe he did, Ted. In state gummint, they eventually HAVE to agree - they HAVE to negotiate. I also think that he thought HE could do it, bring them together. Give me a break. Any fool paying attention in the last ten years has to know that the Rs and Dems couldn't be further apart if they tried. After all, he was in the Senate for 4 years before he became president. Washington is a different game than state gummint. It's like hardball compared to slow-pitch softball. You are so smart. You should run for the presidency.
