The Bush tax cuts were replaced by the Obama tax cuts and they're law for another two years.

The only reasons they're talking about raising taxes now is 1)to get you leftists stirred up and inspired to vote for OBama again and 2) to avoid cutting spending.

>> Did you listen to Greenspan on MTP? Let the bush taxcuts EXPIRE...

Right. But much more qualified than last time around --

a) He said ALL Bush tax cuts, NOT just on the wealthy -- recognizing, of course, that you can't solve this problem by confiscatory tax rates on the wealthy, and

b) None of it matters if you don't make deep, deep spending cuts which Obama has refused to do, and

c) He did stress the point that when you raise taxes you increase the risk that it will kill economic growth.

Most people, including me, are willing to pay more if it spending is reeled in.

The overriding point of Greenspan's commentary was that out of control liberal spending has gotten us into a mess, and the country is now in very desperate condition where we are out of options.
