Mr Borusa,

Re: "If we set the way-back machine to 1999, the story is different ... So, the answer is yes AMD did surge
ahead of Intel. Intel had a better Threaten & Bribe Department."

Let's set the "Way-Back" machine even a little further back ... INTC was founded in 1968 while AMD was founded
in 1969. INTC founded by engineers, AMD founded by marketeers. This really tells the story:

Revenue 1987 ... INTC 1.49B$ ... AMD .99B$
Revenue 1990 ... INTC 3.17B$ ... AMD 1.05B$
Revenue 2000 ... INTC 30.2B$ ... AMD 4.38B$
Revenue 2010 ... INTC 43.6B$ ... AMD 6.46B$

Mahmoud

the answer is yes AMD did surge ahead of Intel. Intel had a better Threaten & Bribe Department.

When AMD has better products they prosper. When AMD has worse products they suffer. It's really not very complicated.
