The limiting factor for nuclear power is not technology. It's costs and environmental concerns.

Building a reactor with a new design, you really have no idea what the total costs are going to be. B&W may have cost estimates, to compare their nuke design with natgas and wind, but cost estimates for nuclear power have historically included a lot of wishful thinking.

The French have lower nuclear power costs, because they use standardized designs. In the U.S., every nuke is custom-designed, raising building costs and lengthening the approval process.
