I certainly do. I've worked on products used by Dell but that need not be a factor here. Every company takes far more than price into consideration when choosing a design win.

Yup, and those factors led DELL's competitors chose AMD, while DELL mysteriously chose Intel-only...

Dell made the wrong decision but contrary to your view, parts are not parts, and Dell had already charted their course for that product cycle.

Please, let me express my lack of shock at how easily you just COMPLETELY UNDERMINED/ABANDONED your argument that DELL's decision to remain Intel-exclusive was justified by all those factors you've been listing? Guess they just "made the wrong decision" after all, huh?

Guess those AMD systems DELL designed, then abandoned for fear of MOAP-retaliation, didn't make "that product cycle."
