You asked, ”What do (I) think?”

Well, first of all, I believe that when interrogating a topic such as this, one has to be thoroughly Objective because, no doubt, the pro-Obama’s will reject Trump’s observations, while the anti-Obama’s will support Trump, and that doesn’t necessarily get to the truth of the matter. And that is, more or less, what I found when I did some searching on the Net.
Like I said in my post, this shouldn’t be a partisan issue as to who is for or against Obama or Trump.
It should be about what are the Facts and what are the Requirements.

What initially caught my attention when I happened to see Trump being interviewed on TV, was his insistence that what had been produced by Obama did not constitute a Certificate that proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Obama had been born in a part of the world that was American.
This then, apparently, had serious constitutional implications with regard to his inauguration as President. Even when Trump was confronted on several occasions by his interviewer that the documentation that had been provided by Obama was sufficient, Trump insisted that it wasn’t.

Now here we have a very successful and wealthy businessman who, no doubt, has a fleet of smart lawyers at his disposal who I very much suspect Trump would have consulted in this regard. It seems likely that the information they provided him gave him the confidence to pursue his contention regarding the adequacy of his case.

When I searched the Net on this topic, one of the sites I came across (see link below) showed an example of a “Certification of Live Birth” and a “Certificate of Live Birth”, or “Birth Certificate” ...

peoplespassions.org

Now if we ignore, for the moment, the sentiments expressed on that site, what we see on the left is a Certification which contains no signatures of relevant parties, whereas the Certificate on the right contains signatures of relevant parties, such as the Parent, Attending Medical Officer, etc.. etc.., as well as confirmation of the place of birth, date of birth, etc.. etc..
I suspect that what Trump has been referring to is the “Certificate of Live Birth” which confirms a person’s nationality beyond any doubt.

The next question that could be asked is, when does a “Certification of Live Birth” get issued? Is it issued to confirm the existence of a “Birth Certificate”? Is it issued because the original “Birth Certificate” is lost?
If the original Birth Certificate has not been lost, and resides with Obama or the necessary Authorities, couldn’t a copy of it accompany the “Certification of Live Birth”?

Those that support Trump have stated that it’s more likely that a “Certification of Live Birth” can be altered or tampered with as opposed to a “Certificate of Live Birth”. No doubt that’s a contentious issue.

Considering the importance of the issue one would think that Obama would supply all and everything that proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he was born in a part of the world that was and is American.
