Over the summer I did well buying INTC/IBM/etc calls at one point. If the stock rallies sharply, you win. If it doesnt, your loss is limited. While buying ITM calls allows some profit on a small rise, it also encompasses greater risk. Such as my once ITM AMD jan 30s.

True, when buying calls doesnt work, selling them should. The most time value is with ATM calls. If the market is trending down, such as this fall's fall, selling ITM calls is even better.
