As the campus of my Ph.D. dissertation project is nearby the West Point, I had a lab tech colleague whose first boyfriend went to the army academy. The boy subsequently dropped off and transferred to MIT. He told her that every class at west point would normally split, but they would remain to be classmates by default, to expand the net.
