NEWS:3Com to unveil fast network switch on Monday biz.yahoo.com SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov 14 (Reuters) - 3Com Corp. on Monday will unveil what it claims will be the fastest networking switch in the industry and a big boost in its rivalry with Cisco Systems Inc. <<3Com said it will introduce the CoreBuilder 9000, a device that controls the flow of information among computers in a corporate setting. The new switch has up to four times the capacity of similar products from rivals, 3Com said.>> <<Analysts said the device would fill a big hole in 3Com's product line. 3Com specializes in low-end networking gear such as modems and adapter cards for PCs.
