Of course I understand. But that is a ridiculous premise. There is zero percent chance that GM wouldn't have been allowed to reorganize under Ch. 11. That's absurd.

What would have happened, however, is that the unions would have been neutered by the Ch. 11 court, leaving the company with a greater possibility of long term survival.
