CC, If they keep the seats scarce they can simply raise the price to cover costs. It is the uncontrolled expansion of capacity that leads to self cannibalization of the industry.

The last read I had on "Peak Oil" was the book, 'Twilight In The Desert', by Matt Simmons. It was an interesting read. Much more has been written on the subject since although not from the authur of the book cause he is no longer among the living as far as I know.
Over the last few years since the publication of the book this board has produced many posts written about Peak Oil being a myth.
I have neither the knowledge nor resources available to challenge the theory either way. So like the concept of sheep grazing I will just move with the herd and digest what I can.
