The poll found that 78 percent oppose cutting spending on Medicare This is disappointing, not surprising. It suggests that the American People STILL have no grasp of the scope of the problems our country faces. More than anything, it is further testament to the point: We should never, EVER pass these entitlement programs, because they will eventually subsume all legitimate government functions and in the end, collapse. These programs quickly become third rails, never to be touched without fear of death or disability. Unless someone, somewhere can communicate to the idiots in America the threat posed by these programs, the country is destined to financial ruin.
