Hi Tulvio, Is this a good time to get back in,
or better to wait a while?

COMS is dirt cheap! Get on the tram and ride it back up the mountain with us!! Don't be a stranger.

Derek

BTW, I may start working for Raytheon Aircraft (RTN) doing both commercial and defense. You holding BA or any other defense companies?
I really haven't paid any attention to any of them but If I join RTN I'll probably get some options.

I don't know what to tell you Tulvio to be honest, cash is a good thing to have now. There are so many brush fires going on around the world everything seems to be so unpredictable and unstable. My gut feeling is to say buy...but then I think maybe it's better to watch it closely and be ready to pounce. The news about the Corebuilder 9000 switch is good news.

This Iraq thing could be more trouble than most expect. Without a strong coalition the U.S. has to go it alone pretty much. If we go it alone a few cruise missles don't get it.

WDC. Ouch, I feel yer pain. I got in and out and am thanking my stars that I stayed disciplined, listened to my charts and bailed out with a sweet profit.

I have been doing a little research on CYMI and it appears that they got clobbered unfairly. I still have more work to do to complete researching them, but so far they look like a good buy.

I hear ya about USRX. I miss it. Just can't seem to get excited about COMS.

COMS does look tempting at this level, but I just see so many other (better)places to put money right now.
I REALLY like the semi-equips. They have been absolutely ravaged and I still can't see any good reason for it.
The only worry is Asia and that seems grossly overstated.
These guys have been WAY overdonr to the downside.

I'm sticking to the blue-chip quality companies in that group-AMAT, ASMLF, TER, UTEK, ETEK, NVLS etc.
I especially like UTEK, but as a long term hold. Short term I think it will underperform it's peers. I am a buyer though, because I don't want to be left out when it takes off. I expect to get filty rich on UTEK.
Lots of movement in those guys too. I've started to get some trades outta them that remind me of the USRX haydays.

I'm in the rapidly growing group that has crossed ASND off my list. I worked my ass-end off trying to make some money on that dog and it just wasn't worth all the effort. I consider myself VERY lucky to have come out relatively unscathed.

So for now, I'm playing the boxmakers, semi-equips, semis and a few software plays.
I'm still shy of the networkers. That said however, I think that any one of them is a good buy for the LONG term investor.
If you are willing to sit on them for a year they WILL pay off.
I won't go into the standard speech about the growth f the internet. I know that you have a good handle on that part of the equation.

As a trader though, they still don't quite look ripe. Still too much uncertainty.

Just remember, these opinions are worth exactly what you paid for 'em.<GG>
Glad to see you again. Don't be such a stranger.
Jeff
